God is editor of the WT

in an earlier thread reference was made to a court case in which fred franz stated that jehovah god was editor of the "watch tower".

as this quotation is often used to support the allegation that jws believe the wt is inspired of god i thought it would be of wider interest to provide the relevant court record for general consideration.. the court case itself was in 1940 and was olin moyle against fred franz and others and the wtbts.

just so that you know who is who, hayden covington was attorney for the defendants and walter bruchhausen was attorney for the plaintiff.

just a couple of comments, you said

If there was a group preaching the WT doctrines of today, back in history, they would have been severely suppressed, rooted out, there was no tolerance , there would have been extensive writings refuting the heresies. They already exist in 1st & 2nd century. Then look what happened to Luther. He was radical but no where near to the WT of today.
Even Russell did not believe or teach key WT doctrines of today. (and I'm not just referring to failed dates)

You seem to agree that what the JWs publish resembles the bible and that the message of good news is the same commission the apostles carried out. The JW's good news is a different gospel and as the bible reader will see - you are not to follow them.

The mormons and the JW's at least have the decency to NOT call their bible the Holy Bible and have given it another name so as to identify it as different. Simple clue, often missed.

as i have been warning over and over the hemopure cow's (bovine) blood product made by the company biopure is running into major trouble that seems to be with held by company executives.

now, their financing is about to go down the tubes.

Does anyone have the Emphatic Diaglott?
on pg 872 in the alphabetical index at the back, we see that the WT states Jesus to be "Almighty" as well as "Deity" & "ALPHA and OMEGA"

ALMIGHTY, able to do all things; an attribute of Deity; also of the glorified Jesus, Rev. 1. 8 iv, 8, &c.
ALPHA and OMEGA, the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet; both applied to Christ, Rev. 1.8; xxl. 6.

If you do not believe that Jesus is God, then this means nothing anyway,
BUT
If you believe that you receive spiritual food at the proper time from God's only channel on earth today
then you must have to agree that the Watchtower's FDS(s) are masters of deception and follow a god of mischief who just happens to own some printing presses.
If you don't believe in God then it doesn't matter,
but what if you do believe, or want to believe, shouldn't we all

A must for anyone witnessing to witnesses.

Witnesses must be witnessed to, not to change their way of thinking about God, but to show them how their books, WT, AWAKE, and the NWT, distort the bible, twist, mislead and deceives. It opens the door to the search every human being is entitled to. The bible has been studied, disected, commentaried, etc. for centuries. Most hold to the basic ideas found therein, some argue the finer points & some call it a load of hooey, [& even worse]. Someone 100 years ago claiming to have heard from spirits that everyone else has been led by Satan should not be allowed to hijack a faith, anyone's for that matter.

Obves says:
If you want to bulid something you must have tools forst and materials to start creating something. Are you saying Jesus was floating in the emptiness with nothing around him ?! It doesn't seem logical at all.

I agree Adonai
as well obves, you seem to be bent on giving God these human qualities and limitations.

Since the NT was written AFTER the events, how could the Jews know if Jesus was using a capital letter or a small letter. They just heard him, the charge was blasphemy, he wouldn't re-cant, so he was crucified.

it is a compilation of billboards that were put up around the usa.

in 1998 an anonymous donor wanted an ad agency - smith - in fla. $150,00 to create this advertising campaign to reach people who have "drifted".. it's a great coffee table book.. here's a few of my favourites.. (hope its ok to post these).

do you remember the excitement of a brand new box of crayola crayons?

running your fingers over the perfectly sharp tips, none broken or peeled.

all 96 colors like flesh (now peach), indian red (now chestnut), periwinkle, goldenrod, green blue (now retired),lemon yellow (now retired), and new colors you may not know about such as macaroni and cheese, purple mountain's majesty, granny smith apple, and pig pink.
